I also purchased a dress (the one hanging on the wall, to the left), with the same goal in mind.
Yesterday marked the eighth day of our baby girls life on earth, which equates to eight days after giving birth, for those of you not making that connection. 😉 as I got ready to go to a friends house for a small gathering, I decided to try on my goal outfits for the first time since the day I purchased them.
Now, let me be clear and honest. I have not been able to workout since the baby has been born and I won't be able to for about five more weeks. I've been up, moving and grooving and probably doing more walking than I should be, but km a busy body by nature and can't help it.
As far as my nutrition goes. We all know that diet is 80% of weightloss and I have been losing this battle! (I said I would be honest!!) my family was in town, I haven't had to do any of the cooking and lots and lots of carbs and sweet treats have been brought into the house and into my belly! What I am proud of however, is that I still have not succumb to the simplicity of the drive-thru, so that's a win!
So, I've definitely made moves in the right direction, but have not been as diligent as I had planned. First step is recognizing it, right?
Anyway, knowing all of this, I didn't expect to see much of a change when I tried on either of these outfits. BUT, months of making healthy choices, clean(er) eating and working out has obviously paid off... Because after just eight days, here is the comparison of 38 weeks pregnant to one week post pregnancy (below).
When I saw the results, I realized I had to take some advice I give my own coaches. "If your dreams and goals aren't scary, they aren't big enough!"
Obviously, the goal of fitting into these and feeling comfortable in right months is realistic, completely possible and not at all scary. So... today, I went online and bought a brand new bikini in a size medium (eeeek!) that I intend to wear in Cancun, this April.
Now THAT is a scary goal, two kids and two c-sections later. BUT, something I'm SO ready to work towards.
First step towards getting there? Nutrition! Since it's Sunday, it's time to plan our meals for the week, shop and prep as necessary.
Let's Do This!!
