Hydrating your body is essential to living a healthy life and on any weight loss journey. I'm sure you have been told to cut the soda, pop, alcohol, juice and to guzzle down the water. 1) Scientists have found that the catechins (antioxidants) in green tea extract increase the body’s ability to burn fat as fuel. Wait, did it just say that tea helps burn fat? Sign me up!

2) Drinking tea could help reduce the risk of heart attack and may also assist in protecting against cardiovascular and degenerative disease. 

3) Because tea is mostly water, it is hydrating to the body (despite the caffeine).

4) Tea could keep help keep your waistline in check. Study's have shown that those who regularly consumed hot tea, had a smaller waistline and lower BMI than on-consumers. 

5) Green tea has been found to improve bone mineral density and strength.

6) Stressed? Black tea Black tea can help to reduce stress levels. One study found that black tea actually helped in reducing levels of the stress hormones in study participants. 

7) But wait, there's more! A study published in the Journal of the American Medical Association found that six months of black tea consumption lowered systolic blood pressure.
